Internships:
The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society welcomes proposals for summer internships. Limited to local students who have housing through their primary employer. Please Contact Us for more information.
"My name is Abbey and I was the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society's first summer intern. Throughout the summer of 2005 I was given many opportunities to explore life at a museum. I worked on various projects through the summer including home tours, island tours, planning and carrying out the museum's annual Kid's Day, working as the curator on museum donations, and writing in the monthly newsletter. I was given the chance to learn a great deal about the islands' incredible history and meet many of its welcoming residents. The entire summer was nothing short of an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in museum life or island history."

Donations Are Always Welcomed!
The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible within the limits of the Federal Tax Code.
Monetary Donations can be made to the L.E.I.H.S., PO Box 25, 25 Town Hall Place, Put-in-Bay, OH 43456, or by clicking the PayPal Donate Now link below.
Memorial Donations can be made in memory of a loved one by specifying at time of gift. The family will be notified of your thoughtfulness by the Historical Society.
Endowment Fund: The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society Endowment Fund guarantees the donors gift will perpetually fund the Society. Donations of many monetary forms, including stocks, life insurance policies, pension plans and other estate planning vehicles can be made to: The Toledo Community Foundation for The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society Fund, 608 Madison Avenue, Suite 1540, Toledo, OH 43604-1151.
Artifacts, Photographs and Documents: The Museum accepts donations of Island-related objects, photographs, journals, documents, etc.. Please contact the Acquisitions Committee for more information: Call 419-285-2804, Contact Us or write to L.E.I.H.S., P.O. Box 25, Put-in-Bay, OH 43456.
Donations for resale: The Society also accepts donations for the yearly Island Auction or the Heritage Re-sale Shop. Please Contact Us or call 419-285-2804 for more information on how your gift can be used as a fund raiser to benefit the Museum.
Equipment Donations: The Historical Society has a constant list of equipment needs such as used display cabinets, file cabinets, office chairs, video equipment, auditorium seating, office equipment, etc. Please Contact Us.
Monetary Donations: If you would like to make monetary donations to the museum you can do so using PayPal. Please click the "Donate Now" button to the right. All donations made to the museum are tax deductible and we will email you the donation receipt as soon as the donation is processed. We appreciate any donation amounts.
